Mission and History

The mission of Georgia Chapter IEC is to advocate and educate members to drive their success.

Our Vision:  IEC members are viewed as professionals who produce quality projects and work on time and on budget.

Incorporated in 1974, the Georgia Chapter is celebrating its 35th year and currently has 37 contractor members and 17 partner members across the state.  Nationally, there are over 3,500 members with 47 chapters.  The National IEC (www.ieci.org) celebrated 50 years in 2007.

The territory of the Georgia Chapter covers the majority of the state of Georgia except the Atlanta metro, which is the Atlanta Chapter (www.iecatlanta.org) and the Northwest corner of Georgia, making it one of the largest territories of any chapter within the IEC.  The Georgia Chapter provides apprenticeship training, as well as, continuing education training in 7 areas across the state (excluding Atlanta):  Northwest Georgia, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, Savannah/Statesboro, Albany and Valdosta.
